Since the state-wide lockdown began on 6th August, it has been a challenging month, the most challenging since this project started. September began with only 5 permissible workers on-site, which allowed the team to complete 90% of driveways and services fit-off works to the Villas.
On 16th September after the Victoria State Government was announced the metro region work travel restrictions were enforced and trade workers were forbidden from traveling as they are all from metro areas. Further to this, the 2-week complete shutdown of the construction industry came into effect on 20th September.
With that being said, it's encouraging that today, 5th October marks the recommencement of the construction industry, but still with reduced worker numbers. The team is currently working with the Builder to update the program for a revised Project PC date and we will announce as soon as we receive confirmation.
With Stage 3 Civil Works, all the steel works for the retaining walls are now complete and we hope to complete all civil works by the end of the month, weather permitting.
