Meet Deb and John Hanton

Living on an acreage property, Deb and John Hanton were after a semi-rural lifestyle to make their transition into retirement living as familiar as possible and they couldn’t be happier with their new life at La Dimora Retirement Resort.

It was a quick move for the couple who took a second look at La Dimora after realising they were getting older and moved into a Stage One villa within a month. "The team were really helpful at getting us in so quick and the moving process was so positive, we had no hassles." John says.

"We chose La Dimora because of the semi-rural aspect, the environment here isn't that different to where we came from. We didn’t feel closed in, there’s still trees and open spaces. We love walking around and seeing the kangaroos and natural wildlife.

Our transition was made easier as we could bring our dogs and we have lovely neighbors on either side. Everyone has been very welcoming."

To keep active the couple now spend their days helping out around the resort's property where they are used to working seven days a week and also actively engage in community events.

"Our villa looks over the golf course so we are constantly chatting to people passing by, we attend a lot of social events, there are dinners, new years eve parties, and themed nights. We are attached to Hidden Valley Resort where we can socialize and chat with the locals. It's a good mix of people."

With stage three of the development well underway, there’s never been a better time to arrange an inspection and join the semi-rural lifestyle.
